The
Rev. W. J. Martin, Rector
The Rev. W. J. Martin
serves as Rector of All Saints Parish. Fr. Martin is a native of Boston and earned his B.A. Degree in Political Science
from Tufts University
and his M.A. in Classics from Dalhousie
University. He was
ordained at Christ Church Cathedral, Nassau, Bahamas in 2000 and served as Curate until 2001
when he accepted the position of Rector at a church in California. During his time in California he taught
Church Fathers and Medieval Philosophy at St. Joseph of Arimathea
Seminary. He was called as Rector to All Saints Church in November of 2008.
The
Rev. Paul Blankinship, Assisting Priest
Fr. Paul, a native of
Richmond, VA,
assists at All Saints and supplies for the various missions and parishes of
the Appalachian Deanery. He earned his A.B. from the College of William
& Mary, where he attended with Fr. Mark Clavier, and was confirmed an
Anglican and married in the lovely Wren Chapel. Later, he attended Duke Divinity
School where he earned
his M.T.S. After his ordination in 1997, he served as curate at St. Barnabas,
Dunwoody, GA, St. Paul's, Melbourne, FL, and St, Michael's, Charlotte before
becoming rector of All Saints, Wilmington, NC. He and his family moved to
Asheville in 2005. Besides
serving as a priest, Fr. Paul is studying to become a painter at Fine Arts
League of Asheville. He is married to Andrea and has two children, Andrew
and Sophie Jane.
